    The title refers to two songs on the Beatles White Album, Sexy Sadie and Dear Prudence. The series Invitation To A Voyage is based upon a series of watercolours Procktor produced during a trip to New York in 1968, accompanied by Gervase Griffiths, singer and model and Ossie Clerk, fashion designer. This lot is from a series of works completed using quotes from Baudelaire, based on a series of drawings done in late 1968 in a New York apartment and subsequently worked up as a series of watercolours, then prints. Procktor's lover, Gervase, and the actor Eric Emerson appear in each of the five prints.
